It’s Kylie! Today I’m here to tell all of my lovely fanpeople about a new novella by Annie Louise Twitchell called Spinner of Secrets. I actually had the honor of being a part of the launch team and got an awesome ARC. (Thanks Annie!)
Are you into fairytale retellings? This one is for you.
Letta Miller’s life is no fairytale. Life is hard for her peasant family, especially after loosing her beloved father. Her new stepfather only make things worse. When more hard times befall them, her stepfather brings Letta to the palace to be Prince Kyle’s bride, promising that she can spin straw into fine thread by moonlight.
There’s just one small problem…Letta can’t.
How can Letta, the girl named for truth, navigate the lies? Let alone as princess? How can she go on when Kyle only pines for a dead girl, refusing her love? Kyle cares about one thing only: revenge against the gypsies who took his childhood love from him. Letta is the key. With her thread, the kingdom will have the funds to wage war against the gypsies. When Letta meets a man who may just be the answer to her problems, she must decide what her own price is. If that proves too much, will the truth save her? Will love?
This book is super cute. The characters have a lot to them in the small package of the book. The characters go through so much growth through the course of the book, especially Prince Kyle. It was interesting to see how the plot twisted and turned. Seriously, you won’t see a lot of that coming. The ending is satisfying, which a lot of novellas can’t claim.
Basically, this book is awesome and you should read it.
That’s all folks! I will return with more Young Justice!
