Headcanons Vol. 1 Issue 1

Hello Fanpeople! And a Very Happy New Year!

I don’t know how many of you have heard of headcanons, and don’t worry if you don’t, my little brother (One of many and who is the second biggest geek in my family, second only to me) had never heard of them before a month ago when I first mentioned them.

Canon, which comes from Christianity is what is true/has been written, or if you are Catholic and are ‘Canonized’ you are made a saint.       As far as canon in Fandoms, it basically means what the writers/creators have made true, for instance,

Mary has the idea that Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes enjoy playing boardgames.

In BBC’s Sherlock, Mycroft and Sherlock are seen playing Operation.

One is a private idea, and the other is an idea made reality and immortalized on film (in this case at least).

Headcanons are the fans way of helping to contribute to our belief in the worlds that our favourite characters inhabit, which if you think about it, is a pretty beautiful thing.

Anyway, this post is going to be the first of many*,  every couple of weeks you shall be enchanted with a round of headcanons and hopefully you’ll find them just as cool as I have.

On to the headcanons!

I realize that there are only three but I promise that I’m stockpiling, (it’ll take more that 5 minutes to go through them all next issue, muwahaha!) If you have a particular fandom’s headcanons that you want to discover, or you have a head canon of your own, drop me a line; No Headcanon Left Behind!

Hope you enjoyed,

Maddy C.
